Package Description:

Are you a skilled Painter and Decorator who takes pride in your craft and wants to work in an inspiring school settings?

As a Painter and Decorator within our Estates team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of our buildings, both internally and externally. From surface preparation to high-quality finishing, your work will ensure our campuses reflect the excellence we aim to instil in every aspect of school life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out painting and decorating tasks to a high standard across the estate.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including rubbing down and filling.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and statutory regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Estates team and other trades.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the workshop and on job sites.
  • Ensure all tools, materials, and school vehicles are used responsibly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential:
    • Proven experience in painting and decorating
    • Strong understanding of health and safety practices
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
    • Friendly, flexible, and willing to undertake a range of tasks

Stowe School

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
