SEND Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Westminster
We are working with an established and inclusive secondary school in Westminster to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team in September.
The school supports a high number of students with EHCPs and has an embedded culture of inclusion, therapy support and structured SEN provision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with students with ASC, ADHD and learning difficulties
* Adapt learning materials and use communication tools such as visual timetables or task boards
* Support behaviour management and emotional regulation in class
* Collaborate with the SENCo, teaching staff and external therapists
* Help track progress and contribute to student reviews
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience supporting young people with SEND in a secondary setting
* Understanding of EHCPs, classroom adaptations, and behaviour support
* A calm, consistent and empathetic approach
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Location and Transport - Westminster
* Accessible via Victoria, Pimlico and St. James's Park (Victoria, District, Circle lines)
* Bus routes include: 11, 24, 148, 507, C10
