The ICT Programme Delivery team are seeking a highly motivated Project Management Officer with excellent organisational and communication skills to join their team. The PMO role is vital to the support and management of the project portfolio.

This is a full-time role, 37 ½ hours per week.

Base site is Hemel Hempstead Hospital with hybrid working supported. Cross site travel is also required at times.

Interviews for this role will take place on the 3rd and 4th July 2025.

This post is part of the ICT Programme Delivery team. The post holder will provide support on a number of projects at any one time, assisting in the definition and maintenance of the standards of project management and process, and supporting the successful delivery of projects.

The post holder will act as the gatekeeper for enquiries for new projects and will ensure that all enquiries are assessed following the ICT Project Management Office process.

The PMO is responsible for managing the Programme team’s shared mailboxes, the coordination of calendars and meeting invites as well as producing regular and ad-hoc reports as required.

The PMO is responsible for maintaining and developing the teams SharePoint site.

The post holder will need to be conscientious, meticulous and at all times act in a professional and confidential manner.

This post calls for a highly motivated individual who can work unsupervised, using their own initiative, prioritising their own workload, dealing with a number of complex issues at any one time while working under pressure.

Assisting the Senior Relationship Managers in the production of regular project update reports for issue to key Trust and external stakeholders.

Attending meetings with Project Managers, taking minutes as required, distributing minutes, issuing status reports, cost reports, etc. on behalf of the project team.

Producing and maintaining documentation which must be precise, accurate, produced in a timely manner and distributed to all relevant parties.

Preparing presentation material for the project team e.g. Power Point presentations, newsletters, posters and leaflets.

Creating and developing constructive relationships involving a range of internal and external staff and service users.

Working on own initiative on a daily basis to respond to problems and queries from users as they arise, often requiring reprioritising of workload to take on new tasks.

Working as project support on several projects simultaneously, this will call for meticulous time management.

Participating in the provision of pro-active support to end-users, directing queries to the relevant member of the project team up until the time of project sign off.

Assisting with the financial aspects of the project portfolio. This may include maintaining a record of orders raised; goods received and invoice checking prior to payment.

Raising requisitions using the Trust’s Integra system.

The post holder is expected to work within the core hours of 08.30 - 16.30 Monday – Friday.
