What is a Cover Supervisor?

A Cover Supervisor steps into the classroom when a teacher is absent to keep everything running smoothly. It’s a vital role that keeps the school day moving and gives you the chance to build invaluable experience.

What your role will include:
  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absence

  • Following set lesson plans across a range of subjects

  • Managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment

  • Supporting a variety of year groups (ages 11–16+)

  • Building rapport with students and staff alike

    What we're looking for:
    • CACHE Level 2/3 qualification or 6+ months of classroom experience

    • Confidence in managing secondary-age students

    • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional presence

    • Flexibility to work across departments and schools

      • Exclusive CPD & training – free access to our My-Progression platform

      • Refer a friend, earn £100 – our way of saying thanks (T&Cs apply)
