Join Our Nursing Team at Hampden House!
Are you looking for a rewarding and flexible career in nursing? Hampden House, located in the prestigious Duchy Estate in Harrogate, is currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis.
Please note: This role is based in Harrogate, and candidates must be willing to travel.
The HICA Group is unable to sponsor international applicants for this role. Proof of right to work in the UK is required.
Pay & Hours:
Salary: £23.64 per hour
Hours: Casual basis (as and when required), with a minimum of 22 hours per week on nights
Shift Pattern: 11-hour shifts across a 7-day rota
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care, including medication management, wound care, and specialist support
Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalised care plans
Liaise with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure holistic care
Participate in daily handovers and safety huddles
What You’ll Need:
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC license
Experience in a care setting (dementia care preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
About Hampden House:
Hampden House is a 66-bed, purpose-built nursing home offering a range of services including personal care, nursing care, short stays, and end-of-life care. We’ve recently opened a dedicated Memory Suite for residents with dementia, while the rest of the home offers a hotel-style environment for those with full capacity.

A Day in the Life:
You’ll work within one community, getting to know your residents and their individual needs. With the support of a buddy system and full training, you’ll build confidence and autonomy. You’ll collaborate with GPs, dieticians, and families, managing care plans and medication reviews.
From PEG feeds and catheter care to wound management and behaviour support planning, this is a varied and fulfilling nursing role where you’ll make a real impact every day.
