Summary:
We are looking for a skilled metalworker with experience of structural welding to join our team as a permanent employee in the role of Fabricator (Metal).
You will play a key role in our studio and on-site team—taking a lead on delivering bespoke projects at a range of scales, from structural welding (UKCA exc.2) to fine finishing. You will bring experience of MIG and TIG welding, including ability to weld to code (UKCA exc. 2).

About the role:
Fabricator (Metal) is a varied and dynamic role, with responsibility for the assembly, fabrication and installation of a range of projects: from art objects to architectural features. You will work in the studio and on site, ensuring excellent standards of quality and precision while meeting the demands of a fast-paced environment. You will bring experience of MIG and TIG welding, with ability to weld to code (UKCA exc. 2), and a high level of attention to detail.
Key tasks:
• Work as part of our team in the studio to fabricate metalwork for a range of bespoke projects, from structural welding (UKCA exc.2) to fine finishing
• Work as part of our team to install projects on site (in London and elsewhere in the UK)
• Take a mindful approach to work: mitigating risk, maximising efficiency and minimising wastage.
• Work independently to maintain high standards of production output and component quality to meet project deadlines
• Work confidently from fabrication drawings
• Communicate with team to manage workflow and project updates
• Bring knowledge of a range of materials and processes relevant to metal fabrication and installation
• Work confidently and competently with other machinery, equipment, tools and materials
• Ensure you are equipped and prepared for work in the studio or on-site, including maintaining a personal tool kit relevant to your role
• Ensure your works are undertaken in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy, relevant RAMS, and standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe working area, with responsibility for ensuring your works are undertaken with care and consideration
• Foster good working relationships within the team, engendering a collaborative and supportive working environment
• Report to Operations Manager and Technical Manager
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times

Key requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience of welding and metalwork (essential)
• Experience of MIG and TIG welding, including ability to weld to code (UKCA exc. 2) (essential)
• Experience working on site in a construction environment (essential)
• Ability to work from fabrication drawings (essential)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail (essential)
• Understanding of material properties and their appropriate machining methodologies (essential)
• Experience with machinery, equipment and tools for general fabrication (essential)
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and best practice for compliance (essential)
• Reliable and responsible attitude to work (essential)
• Strong verbal, interpersonal and comprehensive skills (essential)
• Right to work in the UK without restrictions (essential)
• Current CSCS card, or equivalent qualification (desirable)
• Other relevant professional training (First Aid, Fire Marshal, PASMA, IPAF etc.) (desirable)
