The Role
You’ll work with students in Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering tailored support in maths—both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You’ll help pupils strengthen core numeracy, build confidence with tricky topics, and prepare for GCSEs. You’ll also support with catch-up sessions, booster groups, and revision planning alongside teaching staff.
Expect to play an active role in identifying learning gaps, reinforcing key concepts, and motivating learners who may struggle with maths or lack confidence.
The Candidate
You’re a graduate with a maths or STEM background and a genuine interest in teaching. You’re confident explaining topics clearly, patient when students need more time, and proactive in your approach. Any experience tutoring or mentoring is a bonus, but not essential. You might be looking to apply for teacher training in 2026, and this role will strengthen your application.
