As the Operations Manager, you will oversee, streamline and optimise our operational processes, lead a talented team, and ensure we deliver results for our clients. This role is crucial to the growth and success of our organisation, requiring a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution.

You will be a motivated Operations Manager who holds the ability to think strategically and align operational strategies with the company’s goals. You will work collaboratively with different departments and levels of the organisation and have a proactive approach with a strong focus on achieving results and meeting deadlines.

This role requires a professional who is able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.

Operational Oversight
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure smooth workflow.
• Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operational integration.
Process Improvement
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics to drive efficiencies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operations staff to achieve organisational goals.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Project Management
• Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with project teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Financial Management
• Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.

Compliance and Safety
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Develop and enforce health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Customer Focus
• Maintain a strong customer focus, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Address and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.

Essential:
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Excellent project management skills
• Commercial awareness
• Proven track record in managing People and Client relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability of influencing at all levels.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Good PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) ERP System knowledge would be an advantage.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to analyse data and recognise trends.
• Good health and safety knowledge and practices
• 5 years’ experience in Utility/Contractor business working with LV/HV/EHV apparatus.

Desirable:
• Educated to degree standard or equivalent professional qualification in related subject.
