The Mill Operative will be responsible for operating and monitoring milling machinery to ensure the efficient and safe production of dry pet food. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting machinery, and adhering to production schedules. The Mill Operative will conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor milling machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Follow production schedules and ensure timely task completion.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Record and report production data accurately.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Previous experience operating milling or similar machinery in a production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends if necessary.
Immediate start on going temp to permanent role

40 hours a week
30 Min Breaks
£14 p/h basic
OT paid at time and a half.
