The Role:
CHiME is the companies work and asset management system. CHiME web app holds records on every piece of non-linear equipment on our network and feeds directly to the overall data set of the business. The decisions based on the information held in CHiME impact directly on plant inspections / maintenance scheduling, capital investment and Statutory & Regulatory reporting, and impact the Network Management System (NMS) network model.
It is the responsibility of the CHiME Data Maintainer to create, modify and decommission features held in the CHiME application in-line with the state of the respective assets on the network.
The role holder will work closely with the NMS Maintainers to ensure the assets contained in both the Pre-Laid and As-Laid submissions and detailed in the System Amendment Request documents (SARs) are correctly represented in the CHiME application.
Key Responsibilities
• To carry out real time updates to CHiME to ensure all assets on the electrical system are recorded including processing of SARs packs, mailbox management and Quality Control (QC) tasks, meeting of service level agreements and objectives.
• To have a detailed working knowledge of CHiME App and Mobile functionality and to understand the data structures and data processes for CHiME with an understanding of business processes for data collection.
• To work with all internal and external stakeholders including internal Data Management Teams, Asset Management, IT, Policy, Contractors and Operations.
• To provide accurate and appropriate reporting to those stakeholders.
• Deliver training and peer to peer quality checking while adhering to COP and upholding H&S standards.
• To support in the maintaining of internal documentation of processes and procedures.
• To provide assistance and support and respond to ad hoc report needs of the business.
• To carry out ad-hoc duties on any of Data Managements electrical data systems and databases as requested by the Data Infrastructure Manager.
• To support ENW incident management all employees are required to hold a secondary supporting role. This will include inbound and outbound call handing during and post incidents.
• As part of this role you will be based with the CHiME team but may be required to support Data management other teams such as GIS and Planned Supply Interruptions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Knowledge of CHiME would be an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to use CAD/MAP3d would be an advantage but not essential.
• An understanding of the various systems and symbology standards used in Data Management, along with a good knowledge of the connective network model.
• To be focused and able to deliver consistent, accurate results through their own initiative against time critical deadlines.
• The post holder will have to be a good communicator and be able to interpret demands from the department/business.
• There is a need for high accuracy when completing and quality checking work.
• Experience of analytical tools such as Excel, Alytryx and FME would be a positive.
• Highly organised, results focused with a high accuracy and attention to detail, able to deliver results under pressure under their own initiative in a timely manner - Essential.
• Self-starter who takes initiative to identify, own and solve problems.
• Good understanding of symbology standards and network connectivity within electricity distribution
• Proven experience working in a role where data accuracy is key performance indicator - Desirable.
• Demonstratable skills in organising and planning, data analysis and manipulation and presentation of statistical analysis - Desirable.
