Are you a compassionate and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school community in the
Forest of Dean. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support to thrive both academically and emotionally.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
- Working 1:1 or in small groups under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
- Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Assisting with personal care, where necessary
✅ What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for inclusive education
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, or equivalent) - desirable but not essential
