Job Description – Office Administrator

Employment status: Full time
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
Location: Unit 2 Birch House Lane Industrial Estate, Birch House Lane, Cotes Heath, Staffordshire. ST15 0QQ
Department: Warehouse and Customer Service
Line Manager: Managing Director
Liaises with: Prospective customers, customers, suppliers, internal and external staff across all departments of the business

Summary of the role
To provide administrative support primarily to the Managing Director in the delivery of customer orders and customer service.

Main Purpose of the role
To support the order processing and customer service function of the business, inputting customer orders onto WMS, answering customer queries, monitoring stock and inputting and monitoring orders on courier sites, DPD and UPS.

Duties and responsibilities
• Responding to inbound customer orders and customer queries
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the company’s products and services
• Generating packing slips for the warehouse team
• Assisting the warehouse team in generating shipping labels
• Act as point of contact for couriers and customers
• Goods receipt of inbound stock
• Monitoring stock levels and informing 3rd party clients of potential issues
• Performing general administration duties, filing and photocopying, ordering and managing office supplies
• As part of a small entrepreneurial business support other departments during busy periods as required

Qualifications and Experience Required
• Experience of working within a customer facing / administration-based role, preferably within an order processing or stock control environment
• Knowledge of Warehouse stock control procedures and best practice would be desirable, but not essential.
• Previous experience working as a Stock Controller, Sales Coordinator or Sales Administrator would be desirable, but not essential
• 5 GCSEs
