We are seeking a dedicated Bar and Events Manager to manage the main bar and oversee private functions in our upstairs hall with support from service staff. Candidates should have experience in outdoor catering and demonstrate an ability to develop business in these areas.
The manager at Neelagiree should be knowledgeable in preparing a variety of Indian mocktails and cocktails and have experience operating a busy bar environment. Familiarity with Indian snacks served at the bar counter and a good understanding of Indian cuisine, particularly the dishes offered at Neelagiree, is required.
Responsibilities include ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction, delivering customer service, verifying that staff members meet the legal age and licensing requirements for serving alcohol, and checking patrons’ ages. The role involves overseeing inventory, maintaining supplier relationships, managing health and safety standards, scheduling staff according to business needs, supervising the team's work, and implementing efficient operational methods. The manager should also ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar.
Candidates should have substantial experience and possess leadership and personnel management skills. A minimum of 15 years' experience in hospitality, including at least 10 years in stand-alone Indian restaurants both in India and internationally, is expected. Applicants should demonstrate expertise in classic and regional Indian bar offerings, event management, bar operations, team leadership, and developing events business.
The role may require working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. International applicants must have documentation ready to verify their English language proficiency as required for visa applications and should be a graduate in hospitality industry.
