dynamic and experienced Asset Investment professional to join our team and lead our efforts in strategic asset management and
investment.
Role Overview: As the Head of Asset Investment, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and management of resources and
projects to ensure the quality and condition of mhs existing homes. This includes delivering projects, contracts, and programmes
to maintain our homes in line with regulatory requirements and our asset management strategy commitments.
Key tasks include:
* Strategic Planning: Work with the Head of Asset Performance to develop long-term investment plans and programmes, ensuring the
highest possible standards for mhs homes.
* Stock Investment & Major Works: Oversee stock investment, major works, and energy efficiency improvements for existing homes.
Act as the technical lead for new contract procurement.
* Budget Management: Demonstrate robust budget management, ensuring best value for money and placing customers at the heart of
our services.
* Defect & Fire Remediation: Manage major defects (post defects liability period) and our fire remediation programme, engaging
with warranty providers for effective resolutions.
* Team Leadership: Lead the Investment Team, including the line management of the Senior Project Manager (Planned), Capital Works
Manager, and Senior Project Manager (Fire Safety).
* Capital Programme Management: Deliver a multi-million-pound capital/planned investment programme, aligned with the Asset
Management Strategy.
* Policy & Procedure Development: Develop, review, and implement strategies, procedures, and processes for major/planned works
and adaptations, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
* Procurement & Contract Management: Lead procurement for various service areas, manage contracts through programme governance,
and ensure effective mobilisation and delivery of contracts.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Report and present programme performance to the Executive Team, Committee, and Boards. Engage with
tenants and leaseholders regarding improvement works and financial implications.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, Construction Design Management, and statutory
requirements for all projects.
* Team Development: Motivate and guide the Investment Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional
development. Ensure adherence to performance frameworks and conduct regular team meetings.
* Customer Focus: Create and maintain a customer centric culture, ensuring high-quality delivery of our capital works and planned
investment programmes.
You'll need to have:
* Proven experience in asset management, project management, or a related field within the housing sector.
* Strong understanding of budget management and financial control.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements in construction.
* Experience in procurement and contract management.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and policies.
* Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
* Excellent oral and written communications
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, relevant software, and accurate recording for audit purposes.
* Driving License and access to own vehicle
