We’re seeking an Assistant Land Registrar to join our national legal team based in Hull. You’ll manage a varied caseload of complex, sensitive, and high-impact legal matters — from land ownership disputes and indemnity claims, to advising on rights and interests affecting land. You’ll also act as a technical expert, supporting caseworkers and helping maintain the integrity of the land register.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead on complex legal cases, complaints, and financial claims under land registration law
- Provide clear legal advice and make sound decisions on disputed applications
- Mentor colleagues, support training, and act as a technical authority
- Resolve indemnity claims up to £50,000
- Guide customers and professionals on land registration law and practice
What You’ll Bring:
- Qualified as a solicitor, barrister, or Fellow of CILEx (England and Wales)
- Sound legal judgement and analytical skills
- Experience in land law or willingness to learn quickly
- Strong communication, coaching, and decision-making skills
- A calm, impartial, and pragmatic approach to complex issues
Desirable: Experience in property law, conveyancing, or public sector legal work.
