Are you passionate about beginning a career in the field of drug and alcohol work?

The Derbyshire Recovery Partnership are looking to recruit a Trainee Drug and Alcohol Practitioner for the South Derbyshire area of our Derbyshire service.

This role will be based at our Swadlincote office in the south of Derbyshire, working 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and is a 6 month fixed term contract. During the Trainee role, there may be opportunities to apply for Drug and Alcohol Practitioner vacancies within the service.

The Role

As a trainee, the role will involve developing the skill set, knowledge and competencies to become a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner, via a mixture of training, coaching and practice-based learning. The role is based in a busy community drug and alcohol service, working with people using substances in the Ilkeston area of Derbyshire. It will involve developing the skills to offer a range of harm reduction interventions, assessment, risk management and recovery focussed interventions to support our clients attain improved health outcomes and achieve their personalised treatment goals.

About You

We are keen to hear from anyone with experience of working within the field of drug and alcohol use, and/or has lived experience, or from someone who may not have experience with drugs/alcohol but is very motivated and passionate about recovery and supporting others.
