This is a unique chance to use your fundraising or business development skills to invest in young people and bring about social change.

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Corporate Fundraiser to join our growing team and help develop partnerships that transform the lives of young people.

At 1625 Independent People, young people are at the heart of everything we do. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a fundraising or business development background who’s excited to make a difference and grow within a supportive, values-led organisation.

Please find full details of how to apply via our website in the advert below. The deadline for application submissions is 23.59 on Monday 28 July 2025.

What you will be doing:

* Support the growth of our corporate fundraising income by researching, approaching, and building relationships with values-aligned businesses.
* Help create inspiring proposals and partnership materials that showcase the impact of our work.
* Coordinate supporter events, volunteering days, and engagement opportunities with young people.
* Ensure timely and accurate tracking of donations, pledges, and supporter communications.
* Work with colleagues across fundraising, communications, and operations to deliver brilliant supporter experiences.
* You will work alongside the fundraising team and senior leadership and be pivotal in developing new relationships with businesses and individuals across the Southwest. You will co-ordinate fundraising events and collateral to engage new partnerships, secure valuable pro-bono support and ensure that young people are at the centre of all our fundraising efforts.

What we’re looking for:

* Experience in fundraising, sales, customer service, or relationship management
* Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to negotiate and secure support
* Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
* A proactive attitude, openness to new ideas and willingness to learn.
* Passion for supporting young people and commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and youth voice.

Why join us?

* A welcoming, supportive team where your voice matters.
* A chance to develop your fundraising career in a high-impact organisation.
* Hybrid and flexible working options.
* Generous annual leave, excellent training opportunities, and wellbeing support.

We are striving to better represent the young people we support and therefore are particularly keen to increase applications from minoritized ethnic groups. We also encourage applications from people with relevant lived experience.

If you need an adjustment to be made to any part of the recruitment process, please let us know as soon as possible.

Who are we?
We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. At 1625 we are driven by Social Justice and Passion: we strive to do something that matters and take pride in seeing the results of our work in social outcomes and improving young people’s lives.

You will be in The Fundraising, Partnerships and Communications Team and your line manager will be our Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager.
