Part-time: 28 hours per week

Fixed-term: 12 months (maternity cover)



We are looking for someone who can help us attract and recruit high quality undergraduate applicants from diverse backgrounds and who is keen to support our student recruitment and applicant communication activities more generally.

As part of the School’s External Engagement team, the post holder will play a key role in the planning and delivery of undergraduate student recruitment and conversion activities for the School of Mathematics.

This post is advertised as part-time (28 hours per week) and we are open to considering fewer hours (minimum 21 per week) and flexible working patterns. There is an expectation to work at least 2 days in the office per week and attendance at in person events as required.

Your skills and attributes for success:

You will have specific operational responsibility for organising and facilitating recruitment and conversion activities for both UK and overseas applicants; activities include but are not limited to on-campus events, online events, and applicant communications.


The postholder will need;

experience of event planning, delivery and facilitation, ideally including experience of student recruitment events.
experience of using a variety of digital media to engage with prospective students, including editing and updating web content and social media content.
to be self-motivated and able to manage multiple competing demands to ensure deadlines are met and ability to use initiative and be proactive is essential.
confident presentation and communication skills, and will have experience of working with people from a range of cultural backgrounds.
