Thank you for considering this exciting job opportunity with us. Would you like to become a key player in our excellent early year's clinics and Early Help teams?

We are looking for someone special with excellent clinical skills to lead a team of therapists and assistants in the Tooting locality and to work with the Clinical Team Leader to ensure our service meets the needs of stakeholders and provides evidence based and informed, high quality treatment.

You will be working at a prereferral level too, ensuring parents and carers of very young children are supported and informed. We are committed to providing an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered - both within our staffing teams and with our families



· Specialist assessment, management and treatment of children with a range of communication needs in Wandsworth early years clinics and children’s centres

· Management of a caseload of children within the community Clinic

· Management of very young children and families within children’s centres

· To run prereferral drop-ins (Talkshop) to advise on, and triage children face to face

· To ensure high quality provision for children on their caseload

· Parent and early year’s staff training

· Line management and clinical supervision of SLT students and junior staff and assistants

· Management of clinic timetables and triage of referrals to appropriate therapists

· To be responsible for the early identification of speech and language therapy needs and the early implementation of support to the local population of young children.

· To provide training and advice to parents and professionals regarding the importance of speech and language development and ways to support speech and language development

St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).

After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.
