An exciting job role exists in the Cyber and Security Team as the Cyber Change Project Delivery Higher Executive Officer (HEO) working within the inclusive and innovative Cyber and Security team, part of the Information Directorate within Army Headquarters. Led by a Senior Civil Servant it has a diverse and highly capable workforce. This post is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop and progress their careers, working to a civilian line manager.

Cyber Security change in the Army is about continuously adapting and improving based on lessons, best practice and instigating culture change. The Army is undergoing significant cyber security change, coordinated by the Army Cyber and Security Team.

As the Cyber Change HEO, you’ll work to the Cyber Security Programme Manager, within the Cyber and Security Team and support the project management of new Cyber Security change projects, as part of the Cyber Security change pillar.

This is a hugely interesting post, offering both variety and challenge at a time of considerable cyber change within the Army; it provides plenty of opportunity for the right candidate, to develop and bring forward ideas and initiatives, to help ensure continuous cyber improvement in Army security, culture, awareness, behaviours and lessons.

The successful candidate must be comfortable engaging with wider Defence, Government, and industry. Occasional travel within the UK will be required but this will rarely demand overnight stays.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Clearly communicate messages to colleagues and stakeholders, overcoming barriers and taking into consideration diversity of interest
Interpret and analyse data to inform decision making
Support the innovation of the security risk management process using technology

If you are a strong communicator able to engage with stakeholders across government, work efficiently and at pace, across multiple IT systems and security classifications, we need you!

This post is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop and progress their careers. Appropriate training courses will be provided to ensure the candidate has the skills and knowledge required to perform the role.

Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.

Please note, candidates will be redirected to the Civil Service Jobs website where you will need to submit your application form. Please note the closing date above is incorrect and cannot be amended so please check the closing date on Civil Service Jobs and allow enough time to submit your application form.
