A vacancy has arisen for a Pathway Leader in Fine Art within our Further Education provision. Based on the Foundation Diploma the role may also contribute to the Extended Diploma course. The duties of the post include teaching general visual language during the diagnostic introductory stages and then taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of the Fine Art specialist pathway. There will be administrative and line management responsibilities in addition to the teaching.
The Fine Art area deals predominantly with students who are interested in applying for degree courses in Fine Art, Film, Photography and Sculpture as well as other related interdisciplinary areas.
Applicants should have a degree in a related subject and a teaching qualification. They should be able to demonstrate a technical appreciation of processes and equipment relevant to the pathway, knowledge of industry and courses at degree level that could benefit the students learning experience and progression into HE and a clear understanding of the administration requirements to support the management and delivery of the course. Experience of teaching in the FE sector along with experience demonstrating leadership qualities in an educational setting are essential.
