Now looking for an additional member of their Accounts team, the Accounts Assistant will have a minimum of 5 years all round general accounts experience
We are looking for a dedicated professional to support the finance function, working closely with their Management Accounts Team to help manage the day-to-day accounting function and provide detailed financial data to the wider Management team
The ideal candidate will ideally have a recognised accountancy qualification such as AAT, but this is not as important as experience.
You should be confident in the production of regular management information, as well as possessing a good understanding of the various roles within an accounts department. You will work closely with other accounts staff as well as their Account's Manager and Financial Controller.
As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing various financial tasks and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and the use of relevant software, and possess excellent attention to detail.
The successful Senior Accounts Assistant will
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
An organised and methodical approach
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Ability to analyse financial data and generate reports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with people at all levels within the organisation
Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft software, with good knowledge of Excel and accounting software
You will be a positive team player with strong analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
Have strong time management experience
Job Description
Prepare and maintain financial records across multiple businesses within the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist with month-end duties, including management reports and statutory returns.
Generate financial reports and assist with data analysis
Assist with year-end closing procedures and preparation of information for Audit.
Assist with development of policies in line with business growth.
