Crynodeb
The ACP or Nurse/ ACP Consultant (or qualified ACP) will provide highly specialised, expert advice, consultancy, clinical expertise and leadership to patients, carers and Trust staff. They will develop and influence strategy and policy to ensure excellence in clinical care for patients accessing Stroke services. They will be required to provide and support, care and treatments including non-medical prescribing, as well as but not limited to clinical assessment and diagnosis and they will be required to be an expert practitioner in all aspects of stroke medicine and advanced clinicalpractice. The post holder will provide managerial and professional leadership for stroke services andhave responsibility for providing specialist training and education programs within thespecialism. They will demonstrate advanced skills and competencies to influence the delivery ofpathways of care in the management of stroke patients. They will initiate and add toresearch evidence in the field of stroke to ensure evidence based practice is inherent in allaspects of care and treatment. They will maintain clinical excellence through the dissemination of their knowledge across Primary, Secondary care and Social Care as appropriate.
