Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Wimborne, Dorset. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal parts, primarily using laser-cut profiles. Salary: £17.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (earlier finish of 4pm Friday)

Responsibilities

As a Welder/Fabricator your key responsibilities will include:

Welding: Performing TIG, MIG, and MMA welding on various materials, including steel and aluminum.
Fabrication: Assembling and finishing metal parts, working with laser-cut profiles.
Preparation: Preparing components for welding and assembly.
Quality Control: Ensuring welds and fabricated parts meet specified standards.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in welding techniques, particularly TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with different welding processes and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Additional Considerations:

• Experience in sheet metal work is advantageous.
• Background in marine welding or other specialized areas is a plus.

Day-to-Day

Your daily tasks will involve:

• Preparing materials and components for welding and assembly.
• Utilizing TIG, MIG, and MMA welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal parts.
• Inspecting and ensuring the quality of welds and finished products.
• Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.
• Maintaining a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
