Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Youth Offending Service Officer to join our Social Care team. This pivotal role involves working closely with young individuals who are at risk of offending or are already involved in the youth justice system. As a Social Care Qualified professional, you will utilize a holistic approach to support and guide these youths in addressing the underlying issues that contribute to their offending behavior. Your expertise will be essential in conducting assessments, creating intervention plans, and providing tailored support services aimed at rehabilitation and positive life changes. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and community organizations, to foster a supportive network for the youth. This position does not only focus on reducing reoffending; it also emphasizes improving the overall wellbeing and life outcomes of young people through empowering them with the necessary skills and resources. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for young offenders.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to youths involved with the youth justice system.
Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to create a strong support network for clients.
Facilitate group work sessions and workshops aimed at personal development and offending behavior reduction.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of young people, adjusting support strategies as necessary.
Maintain accurate case records and report writing in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
Stay informed about the latest developments in youth justice policies and best practices in social care.
Requirements
A recognized social care qualification (e.g., Diploma in Social Work, degree in Social Work, or equivalent).
Experience working with young people in a social care or youth offending context.
Strong understanding of youth justice legislation and best practices in intervention.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with young individuals and their families.
Proficient in multi-agency working and have experience collaborating with other professionals.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £26.50
Location: Little Ilford, East London
