Are you a passionate and experienced Sous Chef looking to make a meaningful difference through your cooking?
Our client is seeking a creative and dedicated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a well-established luxury care home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chef who wants to bring fresh ideas, create nutritious and appealing meals, and enhance the daily lives of residents through food.
As Sous Chef, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, well-presented meals that meet a variety of dietary needs. Working closely with the Head Chef and care home team, you’ll help create menus that are both comforting and inspiring, supporting residents’ health and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Chef, ideally within a care home or healthcare setting
- Level 2 or above in Food Preparation/Catering (or equivalent)
- Up-to-date Food Hygiene Certificate
- Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs in older adults
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Positive team player with good communication and time-management skills

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of meals in line with resident preferences and dietary requirements
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- Support menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
- Monitor kitchen stock levels and manage orders efficiently
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines
- Work collaboratively with care staff and management to support a person-centred dining experience
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
