Further details about the role

The team at Malet Lambert school are looking for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people to join our established team of Teaching Assistants who play a vital role insupporting and assisting the teaching, learning and care of the young people within our school.You will work as a teaching assistant under the instruction and guidance of teaching / senior staff, whilst training towards completion of the Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. Working mainly in the classroom with a teacher, to support access to learning for SEND pupils and those with other barriers to learning, providing general and specific assistance to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

The working hours are from8:30am to 15:15pm Monday to Fridayduring the school term. You will also be paid for an additional30 hoursper year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours. Your actual salary will be£16,735.08per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.If you are interested in working on a part time basis, please get in touch and we are happy to explore this further with you.

This post is fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who is committed to ensuring every individual child receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be.

The successful applicant will have good literacy and numeracy skills and a willingness to work towards a level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard.
