Key Working Relationships: Medical, Nursing and Support Staff in clinical Respiratory Medicine. Hours of Work: 40 hours plus on-calls. The Clinical Fellow will be additional to a team of 5 SpRs and 4 non-training grade doctors working at SpR level in clinical respiratory medicine. Although this Job does not have deanery educational approval for clinical experience it will provide training opportunities at the same level as the registrars from the training program. It will suit trainees wishing to develop subspecialty skills in respiratory infection/cystic fibrosis and research as part of out of programme experience (OOPE) or those with a dedicated interest in respiratory medicine that do not have a substantive training post. The duties and responsibilities of the fellow are largely service oriented, but an interest in research can be accommodated and those with a wish to continue in CF may seek other training opportunities, such as visits to other centres. The post is appointable for a minimum of 6 months, potentially renewable, dependent on the candidate, and subject to satisfactory progress review through the usual clinical and academic channels.
