Essential Criteria NMC Registered Nurse Teaching Qualification, SLIP/Mentorship Experience at Band 5 Level in relevant speciality within the NHS Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience Demonstrable experience within relevant specialities IT literate using hospital systems Be able to retrieve relevant investigations Understand the importance of admissions and discharges Has knowledge of Acute Medicine protocols Understand the roles of the Emergency department co-ordinator & the Clinical Site Team Organisation & Planning skills Ability to prioritise effectively Time management Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative. Able to interact with all members of MDT Influencing and negotiating skills Be able to speak English as required to undertake the role Able to prioritise and adapt to changing pressures of workload Ability to adapt self to meet and support the needs of individual team members To act as a professional role model Be calm and able to cope under pressure Be honest, open and aware of own limitations when maintaining patient safety and staff Takes a fair and consistent approach to maintaining quality standards and outcomes Able to recognise when needing to seek advice or support from peers or senior staff Consistently demonstrate a supportive positive and motivational can do attitude
