Sacred Heart Catholic Primary currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
Job overview
You’ll be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, for groups of SEN children and on an individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. You’ll contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher along with communicating with parents to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met.
Job requirements
A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and MathsSEN experience essential
Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
