We have an opportunities for self motivated and resourceful individuals to join our Admin team as an Appointments Co-ordinator. This is an interesting and varied role involving extensive patient contact, mainly by telephone but some face to face. We are looking for Administrators ideally with a clinical or customer service focused background who would be able to work both within a busy team and on their own initiative. They must be calm and possess excellent communication skills, telephone manner and a flexible and pro-active attitude.
The post holder is required to provide administrative support within the department. Tasks include assisting with the electronic referral and triage process and scheduling and co-ordinating diagnostic and clinical inpatient and outpatient appointments. Cover for the main telephones and patient facing reception is also part of the role, dealing with patient queries, recording patient data, coding appointments & ensuring clinical waiting lists and pathways are managed appropriately.
Full training will be given.
