Summary

An international intellectual property/trade mark firm is looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Risk & Audit Manager in a role that will require the successful candidate to advise on business-critical regulatory and governance matters across a number of jurisdictions. With their head office based in Leeds, they are looking to hire someone who lives within commutable distance of the city and someone who would be happy to commute to other locations across the country and around the world as and when required.


The skills required for this position mean that candidates will need to show experience of having dealt with issues relating to risk management, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, data protection and compliance on regulatory and governance issues. Candidates considering applying for this role will need to evidence that they have worked in a compliance function at a top national/international practice, and will ideally have experience of handling issues not just based in the UK but across other European countries as well.


The successful candidate will work alongside and very closely with the dedicated Head of Legal Practice along with a very experienced Professional Standards Director. It is not essential for someone to have worked in compliance within an intellectual property-focused environment before, but applicants must be happy and prepared to get stuck into detailed audit work and must be confident when it comes to raising/flagging issues and seeing them through to their resolution.


My client is prepared to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum for this position alongside an attractive benefits package which includes an annual performance bonus and a holiday purchase scheme alongside other lucrative benefits. Hybrid working is available for this role and candidates should expect to commute to the Leeds office 2/3 times a week, however candidates must also be prepared to travel to other offices around the UK and across the European continent as and when required.
