Support the provision of a high quality, efficient and cost-effective systems function that meets the current and future technology needs of the Procurement & Supply Chain team. This will enable the Procurement & Supply Chain function to support the delivery of our wider corporate objectives.
Support the development and maintenance of the MSE’s purchasing catalogue and e-procurement system to ensure alignment with logistics, inventory and supply chain systems and processes.
Support an effective and efficient procurement service by assisting end users in maximising the benefits of our various systems.
Actively identify opportunities for service and business process improvement and working with colleagues to realise any developments agreed for implementation.
· Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with other members of the local NHS Confederation, SCCL, NHS Improvement as well as major service providers to the Service.
· Communicate and disseminate procurement statistics and data to colleagues involved in selecting suppliers and service providers and in committing MSE expenditure. Support and promote the MSE policies at all times.
· Working with colleagues assist in the resource planning for standardisation or new contract implementations across all sites. Provide product quantity and location data across all sites; and co-ordinate the exercise phases appropriately.
· Provide regular performance reports on progress, status and achievements for own area to be used by both Management and Users.
· Ensure the content of e-catalogues are consistent with NHS e-class and any GS1 barcode related standards.
· Drive up contract compliance across the Trust by guiding local users to the best and most efficient supply route
