Crynodeb
Acting as a Haematology section leader, managing and co-ordinating the day-to-day technical activities. Demonstrating an exemplary standard of work at all times; including the supervision, training and guidance of laboratory staff as required. Providing specialist advice to clinicians as to the appropriateness of tests and timescales. Assisting in the ongoing achievement of departmental quality standards. To have attained specialist knowledge in Haematology through a minimum of three years experience as a HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist working in a Haematology laboratory demonstrated by the possession of an IBMS approved Masters level qualification or equivalent. Participating in the agreed working patterns of the department to provide a safe and effective service. Deputising for the Haematology Operational Manager as required.
