Join us and be part of a vibrant community at Loughborough University as you work within the Estates and Facilities Management Team on Loughborough Campus.
Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will join a team of joiners working together completing reactive and planned maintenance tasks throughout the year.
You will join a team of multiskilled trades, including Maintenance Operatives, Plumbers and Electricians.
You would be expected to carry out joinery and trades work for all those who work and live on campus, including students, staff members and tenants.
You will receive work via our online work allocation tool Archibus and be expected to update jobs using an ipad.
Joiners are expected to manage their own workload independently, with support from line managers and park leads.
You will complete machining and preparation of wood in connection with maintenance work and/or alterations and improvements.
Key Requirements:
Experience of site and shop work
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
Demonstrate ability to understand Drawings / schematic drawings
Education to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English
NVQ level 2 diploma or equivalent in Carpentry / Joinery site work & bench work
Driving License
