We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Toddler Room Leader. The successful candidate will support the Nursery Management Team in the smooth running of the nursery, ensuring a high standard of care and education for children. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a genuine passion for early years education.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Nursery Management:
Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in their roles.
Oversee the nursery in the absence of the Manager and Deputy Manager.
Help implement and uphold nursery policies and procedures.
Childcare and Education:
Ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum that meets the developmental needs of each child.
Support staff in planning and delivering educational activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Promote a child-centered approach and ensure all children are engaged and progressing.
Staff Supervision:
Provide guidance and support to nursery staff.
Assist with staff training and development.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment.
Health and Safety:
Help maintain a safe and secure environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Assist with health and safety checks and risk assessments.
Respond to emergencies and implement appropriate procedures.
Parent and Community Relations:
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Support the organization of parent meetings, events, and workshops.
Engage with external agencies and the local community to support the nursery's objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
Significant experience working in a nursery setting, with at least [insert years] in a supervisory or senior role.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
First Aid and Safeguarding training (preferred).
