Crynodeb
The post holder will have the responsibility for the clinical nursing care of patients attending the Interventional Radiology department. Demonstrate excellent leadership skills to ensure the delivery of high quality care and evidence based practice. To participate in rostering and assisting with changes while liaising with the team To work alongside the radiologist as a scrub nurse for minimally invasive radiological procedures such as embolisations, stenting and biopsies. Develop individualised care plans based on each individual patients condition. Scrub nurse Responsible for the correct administration of prescribed medication including transfusion of blood and blood products Be responsible for assessing and recognising emergencies in the speciality. To interpret information and take appropriate action and to lead others to do the same. To ensure suitability of patients for intravenous administration of medications. To provide pre and post- procedural care in recovery. Be able to coordinate the daily patients list. Cover an on-call service in partnership with the Royal Marsden Radiology Nurse
