See JD and PS in separate documents To communicate dietary information to a wide variety of individuals of differing backgrounds and age including those with communication difficulties and special needs, in a variety of settings including hospital wards and clinics. This will involve exposure to these settings. To assess nutritional requirements, status and factors affecting nutritional intake as well as patients circumstances and ability to change, negotiating dietary targets with patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Using motivational interviewing skills to help them to make changes to their diets and lifestyles so that they can improve their health and well-being.
