JobIntroduction
Electrician Wanted! Join the Diageo team as a Mobile Electrician, covering Scotland’s Central Belt with occasional trips to beautiful Islay. You’ll handle everything from planned and reactive maintenance to installations, testing, and fault finding — all while keeping safety and quality top of mind. Work closely with our M&E team to hit key targets and keep things running smoothly, and be ready to jump in for emergency call-outs as part of the rota. Ready to power up your next career move?
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a variety of electrical maintenance tasksincluding PPMs, emergency lighting checks, RCD and microwave testing, and first-line response to work orders.
- Handle minor installations and repairs, such as lighting, sockets, switches, and plant equipment.
- Support beyond the toolbox— pitch in with basic plumbing, unblocking drains, and odd jobs like installing shelves or notice boards.
- Join the on-call rota (1 week in 4)for out-of-hours support when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified 18th Edition Electricianwith time-served experience
- Strong knowledge ofelectrical installations in commercial buildingsand building services
- Proven experience inPPM and reactive maintenance tasks
- Confident withbasic IT skills, including MS Office and handheld devices (PDAs)
- Physically capableof working at height and in confined spaces
- Solid understanding ofhealth & safety practicesand proper tool handling
- Full, clean UK driving licencerequired
