We have a vacancy for a Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s team. This essential role ensures that the plant runs smoothly, and downtime is minimized. We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and efficient Maintenance Fitter with a strong background in heavy plant maintenance. The right candidate needs to also be able to operate plant machinery such as 360 and Shovel.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repair tasks on heavy plant equipment.
Ensure the smooth operation of motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
Conduct MIG welding and fabrication tasks as required.
Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues promptly.
Work collaboratively within a small team to achieve operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
Operate 360 and a Shovel.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, specifically in heavy plant environments.
Proficiency in MIG welding and fabricating.
Experience with maintaining motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
Hours of Work:
4 on 4 off Night Shift
Additional hours as required to meet business needs.
Compensation: £14.00 to £16.00 per hour plus £2 working on Night Shift.
