About this opportunity
We are looking for an Accounting Technician to provide support to Accountants and Finance Managers in providing flexible and professional financial services to support the management of the Council budget in accordance with the Council Plan.
The role is part of our finance business partnering teams and provides direct support to specific directorates within the Council. Responsibilities include supporting the monthly budget monitoring process, processing journals, responding to ad-hoc queries, preparing grant returns and supporting the year-end closedown process.

You will need to be able to work accurately under pressure, working as part of a team but able to use your own initiative. You must be able to work to deadlines and prioritise your workload.
