Role – Driver/Caretaker (Older People Day Care Services)
Location - GCHSCP, Focal Point Day Centre (G15 8NS) & Glenwood Day Centre (G45 9UG)
Contract Status – Permanent

Glasgow City Health & Social Care Parternship (GCHSCP) is recruiting 2 x Driver/Caretakers within Older People Day Care Services, at both Focal Point (Drumchapel) and Glenwood (Castlemilk).
Older People Day Care Services provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for older adults during the day. Our goal is to promote independence, reduce isolation and enhance quality of life.
As a Driver/Caretaker, you’ll play a vital role by supporting older people with complex needs, ensuring safe transport to and from the centre. This role also involves Caretaking tasks to ensure ongoing maintenance of the building.
Possession of a valid UK Driving Licence with a category D1 entitlement is essential. You will be required to undertake ongoing Driver Certificate of Professional Competence Training (DCPC) and be conversant with and operate at all times within the current Health and Safety at Work legislation.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
