SEND Teaching Assistant with Midday Assistant duties (Year 2)
Hours of Posts: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday
SEND TA 12.5 hours per week
MDA 2.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 3:30pm (includes the 30 minutes midday assistant duties)
Contract Type: Fixed Term for 1 year, Term Time only (SEN Funding)
Salary Grade:
SEND TA Scale 3 points 5 to 6 £24,790 - £25,183 FTE
MDA Scale 1 points 2 to 3 - £23,656 - £24,027 FTE
(salary will be pro rata to the part time, term time hours)
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Ladybrook Primary School is an outstanding school where we focus on instilling a love of learning by providing a first-class education in preparation for the future. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a small group of children in our year 2 class alongside other staff who exhibit behavioural, communication and learning needs. This role would suit an experienced teaching assistant. The post is available as a single post.
The successful candidate will:
The SEND Teaching assistant role involves providing support for infant children
Enjoy working with children and relish the challenge of supporting individual children
Be calm, patient, resilient and reliable
Have some experience of working with children with special educational needs
Use effective strategies to promote positive attitudes to learning
Be willing and able to follow verbal and written planning
Be able to communicate effectively.
Behave in a professional manner within a team environment
Be available to work the hours as advertised.
Be available to attend INSET training sessions as required.
