The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a PTHP Law and Criminology teacher.
You will be part of a highly successful team of dedicated vocational and A Level staff within out Humanities and Protective Services division and responsible for delivering a range of law and criminology across A Level and vocational courses to students at Nelson and Colne College. You will join a supportive team with exceptionally high levels of success.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson but may be required to travel across sites.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Teach A Level and Vocational Law/ Criminology delivering effective learning for students
- Be up to date, plan and prepare and high-quality teaching as required by your Line Manager
- Develop and share resources for the course/subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources
- To act as a personal tutor for a group across their programme as a whole
- Maintain comprehensive, up to date, student/course/subject records and provide information, as requested
What We Are Looking For:
- A degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
- A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
- A higher degree or advanced qualification (desirable)
- Successful teaching experience in a relevant subject area
- Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver the curriculum successfully
- Demonstrate a student centred approach to teaching and learning
