The Governors of our popular primary school are seeking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and dedicated staff to support children in our breakfast club, at lunchtimes and in our after-school club. The successful candidates will need to have a can-do attitude and work alongside existing staff to provide high quality play and care provision for children at St Peter’s. They will maintain a safe and stimulating play setting and encourage child centred play. Children range in age from 3 years to 11 years.
At St Peter’s we have high expectations of all children where everyone achieves and succeeds within a safe, inclusive Christian community. We promote independence, respect and empathy in our pupils
• Start Date: September 2025
• Contract: Initially a fixed term contract until 31 August 2026
• Hours: 7:45am – 8:45am Breakfast club
11:45am – 1:15pm Midday Supervisor
2:45pm to 5:45pm After-School Club
27.5 hours per week, term time only (working 38 weeks per year)
• Salary: Surrey Pay PS3, pro rata salary of £15,580 per annum (£1,298 per month)
First Aid and child protection/safeguarding training will be provided. Initially the role will be offered on a fixed term contract until 31 August 2026, at which will be reviewed during the summer 2026.
The successful candidate will:
o Work well and effectively as part of a team
o Be a creative and excellent practitioner with energy, drive and commitment
o Be dedicated to high standards of behaviour
o Be willing to prepare food (breakfast/tea) for children if necessary
o Carry out any necessary cleaning duties
o Be supportive of the school’s Christian ethos
o Work within an equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory framework and to be an advocate of all aspects of diversity within our school community
The Midday Supervisor role will involve:
o helping to set up & clear away out the lunch tables & benches
o supervising our children in the dining hall, helping the younger children in particular, and promoting good table manners for everyone
o supervising our children in the outdoor play areas
o supervising the waste trolley and clearing up any spills etc to maintain a safe and pleasant environment
