Technical Instructor in EngineeringSalary: £28,235 - £30,060(Starting salary dependent upon qualifications and experience)Contract: Full time, PermanentRequired from: 1st September 2025 or laterCirencester College is at the forefront in delivery of new T level qualifications in Engineering. We are looking for an adaptable individual with a ‘can do’ attitude to join the dedicated teaching team, to provide technical support in addition to the capacity to instruct and train students in practical aspects of their curriculum. This enhanced technician position is ideally suited to someone who has excellent technical skills, and would like to be more involved with some aspects of instruction in the workshop and classroom. The role is particularly exciting with an extremely well-resourced suite of Engineering teaching spaces and workshop.The successful applicant will be expected to:Provide outstanding support for lecturers to facilitate effective teaching and learningManage the upkeep and maintenance of stock and equipment, ordering items as appropriate and maintain the tech lab.Work closely with students to support their progress, including facilitating instruction and supervision in the workshop and classroomBecome involved in enrichment for students and / or adults by supporting or running workshops.Carry out practical demonstrations and training on machines and hardwareTake ownership of health and safety processes and risk assessments in the workshopCandidates should have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. Candidates should have a commitment to further education and be motivated to achieve high standards. Enthusiasm and the ability to truly work as a team player are essential. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills. Ideally candidates should possess Engineering qualifications or a background from any part of the engineering sector
