The Prostate Cancer Targeted Therapy Group under the leadership and guidance of Professor Johann de Bono and Dr Adam Sharp, has led on the development of many of the new drugs currently used for the management of advanced prostate cancer including abiraterone, cabazitaxel, enzalutamide, olaparib and Lutetium PSMA. The Unit is based at the Royal Marsden in the Oak Cancer Centre, a day-care area with outpatient facilities exclusively dedicated to the care and treatment of patients enrolled in clinical trials and is closely linked to our translational research laboratories at The Institute of Cancer Research. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Specialty Doctor to join the Unit. The applicant will have broad knowledge of general internal medicine with experience in the management of cancer patients and it is essential that the post holder also has the appropriate medical qualifications, including MRCP or equivalent. In addition the post holder will have good communications skills, the ability to work as part as a team and take the initiative and make decisions. Experience in the management of acute medical emergencies and, practical interventions and in general oncology management is also essential.
