The Women's Super League are looking for Operations Match Managers to represent the league as a main on-site operational contact on Matchdays.
The role is a casual position and will require weekend and evening availability, depending on match times.
What will you be doing?
> Represent the League as a main on-site operational contact on matchdays. > Liaise with Clubs, Match Officials, Broadcast Match Managers, and the League's Football Operations team to ensure matches are consistently delivered in line with the Competition Rules and other applicable regulations (e.g. Fixture Guidance Note, League Handbook). > Obtain key match information from Clubs in advance, in cooperation with the Broadcast Match Manager. Attend preparatory (online) meetings as required. > Coordinate other stakeholders to effectively resolve any issues that arise on matchdays and proactively communicate updates to the League. > Assist Clubs with electronic team sheet exchanges; work with Match Officials and Broadcast Match Managers to accurately record match events in the relevant app. > Debrief with Clubs and Match Officials post-match to highlight successes and areas for improvement. > Complete a detailed report covering key operational aspects (match organisation, kit and equipment, facilities, safety and security, safeguarding). Assist with follow up on reported issues as required. > Attend scheduled training / debrief sessions to refresh skills and knowledge. |
What are we looking for?
Person Specification
> Excellent at communicating and building relationships. > Organised, reliable and professional. > Proactively takes responsibility and is a team player. > Diplomatic and emotionally intelligent. > Competent using IT (e.g. MS Office, MS Teams, smartphones). > Passionate about women's football; motivated to contribute towards the growth and development of the Women's professional game. > Significant football operations experience, ideally from an operations role at a Club or as a Match Manager/ Venue Director in comparable competitions (i.e. Premier League / EFL / UEFA competitions). > The role may also suit former BWSL/ BWSL2 players or staff who have relevant knowledge of the Leagues.
Please note that due to potential conflicts of interest, current employees of BWSL/ BWSL2 Clubs, or full-time FA staff cannot be considered. |

> Legally allowed to work in the UK. > Willing to work weekends and evenings as required. > Flexibility to travel to matches - use of a car would be advantageous. |
