Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical installations across a range of commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the project lifecycle — from design review and procurement through to final handover — ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, manage, and deliver electrical projects from pre-construction to final commissioning and client handover.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment and progress.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, track progress, and manage change control.
• Manage budgets, procurement schedules, cost tracking, and resource planning.
• Ensure all works comply with current electrical regulations (BS 7671), industry standards, and health and safety legislation.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Oversee site installation works including cable containment, distribution boards, lighting, power, and fire alarms.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits, toolbox talks, and ensure RAMS are in place and adhered to.
• Compile and deliver technical documentation including test certification, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
• Mentor and lead site engineers, supervisors, and electricians, promoting a culture of safety and performance.

Requirements
• Proven experience managing electrical projects (£500k–£5m+) in commercial, industrial or residential sectors.
• Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations).
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification (desirable).
• Excellent understanding of electrical systems, load calculations, and cable sizing.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and M&E drawings and technical documents.
• Strong commercial awareness, able to manage budgets, variations, and supply chain issues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and project management tools.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.

Desirable Qualifications
• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
• ECS Gold Card
• First Aid at Work
• IOSH or NEBOSH certification
• Previous experience working for an M&E contractor or main contractor
