We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual for the role of Heating Engineer Apprentice within our Investment Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in Plumbing and Heating while supporting a culture that delivers results and service excellence to promote the Karbon values and brand.
About the role
All our Apprentices are paid the Real Living Wage (RLW), and you'll be paid for your normal working hours plus your attendance at college with the opportunity to get real life experiences.
You will develop the knowledge and skills in health and safety, core plumbing, electrical components and control systems, principles of environmental technologies as well as fossil fuels, customer service, communication, and key behaviours required for the industry. You will learn how to Install, test and commission Gas boilers. You will gain an understanding of the principles of installation, testing, commissioning, service and maintenance of gas central heating systems and the service and maintenance techniques on solar thermal, ground and air source heat pumps, and water recycling systems.
Our Investment Team is committed to delivering excellent service to our customers. We represent Karbon at the frontline installing new heating systems and replacing gas boilers to keep our customers warm. We pride ourselves on being knowledgeable, efficient, and customer focused, delivering a quality customer experience.
About you
We are looking to attract an enthusiastic Apprentice with good communication skills, a customer-focused approach and a desire to develop in their Heating Engineer career.

- Heating Engineer Apprentice - 4 years fixed term
- Salary is £24,242.40 per annum
- Location: On site with your mentor. You will be asked to attend the office for Induction, Training, and other occasions (Gosforth, Newburn or Stanley).
- There will be a requirement to attend college one day a week.
- Regular travel will be required
- 37 Hours per week
